((Even though MOST of my excitement has to do with the fact that once Thanksgiving happens then my Christmas spirit can bubble up and pour out like there's no tomorrow!!!))
But anyway... It's important to reflect on things we are thankful for... because it is so unnatural. If we just live according to how we feel then we will spend most of our attention focusing on what we don't have, rather than looking at all that we have been given.
Thankfulness produces faith.
As we see all that God has done in the past, we grow more confident in the fact that He WILL take care of our future.
Thankfulness produces humility.
We look back and see that everything we have is a gift. From God and from people that sacrificed in some way to get us to where we are today.
Thankfulness produces joy.
Because we have so stinkin much to be thankful for!
So today I'm thankful...
For you.
For husband.
For sister and friends and moms and dad.
For Starbucks holiday lattes.
For a car.
For a phone.
For living in southern California.
For my Christmas spirit.
For Santa Clause and sugar plum fairies.
For skinny jeans and leg warmers.
For hair on my head that happens to be highlighted really cute... Thanks to a lovely and supportive hair dresser friend.
For her.
For an air mattress.
For a shower.
For Models For Christ.
For Jesus and His love and His presence.
For forgiveness.
For grace to make mistakes.
For Chik-fil-a breakfasts... Mostly just the chicken sandwich on the bagel.
For Christmas lights.
For pink. Not so much pastel pink... I am more thankful for magenta. With sparkles.
For YWAM LA.
For Disney. And princesses. And Belle.
For Colorado.
For snow.
For this blog.
Thank you Jesus for Your goodness. Please help us to be grateful. Especially this week.
Help us to love you.
